Check your current plan and available funding

Some Social, Economic and Community Participation and Improved Daily Living Skills budgets change as plans are created or reassessed from 1 October 2026, or renewed from 1 February 2027. Effects vary by participant, and some supports are excluded. Use the budget in your current plan and check available funding before agreeing supports. Read the NDIA update and excluded supports. Checked 4 October 2026.

These tools estimate costs and planning timelines. They do not decide eligibility, calculate a revised NDIS budget or check released funding. Plan dates and funding periods are different: use your own plan dates and check how much is available in the current funding period. Understand funding periods.

This is a whole-category planning estimate, not a check of released funding. Check your funding periods, available funds and spending restrictions separately. Tip: use the "spent" figure from the my NDIS portal or your plan manager's statement for the same budget category.

How it works

Three steps. Done.

Enter the budget

Use one budget category at a time, like capacity building: daily activities.

Add what's been spent

Take the figure from the my NDIS portal or a plan manager statement.

Read the gauge

The outer arc is time used, the inner arc is budget used. Close together means on track.

Questions

Good to know.

Still unsure? Call 1300 777 837 and a service navigator will talk it through.

Why track each category separately?

Most NDIS funding is set by category and some can't be moved between categories, so each one needs its own check.

What if I'm underspending?

Unused funding can be a sign supports aren't in place yet. A support coordinator can help find providers or adjust how supports are used.

What if I'm overspending?

Talk to your providers and coordinator early. Options include adjusting frequency or asking the NDIA for a plan variation if needs have changed.

Does this check funding periods?

No. This calculation spreads the remaining category budget across the remaining plan time. It does not check when funding is released, restricted items or whether a support can be claimed. Check your plan and current available funds with your plan manager or coordinator before committing to supports.

Is this financial advice?

No. It's a simple planning calculation to help conversations with your coordinator, plan manager and the NDIA.
