The full guide

Our behaviour support services focus on supporting positive change through practical strategies, tailored plans, and genuine partnership. We work alongside you to build skills, confidence, emotional regulation, and safe, independent living.

Because you deserve support that understands where you are and helps you get where you want to be.

01

How our behavioural therapists support you.

We use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches to understand the “why” behind behaviours and create respectful, practical strategies that work in real life, not just on paper.

We work with participants of all ages to:

  • Understand the reasons behind behaviours of concern
  • Build positive replacement behaviours and skills
  • Reduce restrictive practices safely and ethically
  • Improve emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Support participation in daily living, learning, and community activities
  • Strengthen relationships with family, carers, and peers
  • Build independence, safety, and quality of life
02

What we assist with.

  • Development of Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP)
  • Functional behavioural assessments
  • Emotional regulation strategies
  • Communication support to reduce frustration-based behaviours
  • Skill-building programs for social and daily living activities
  • Training and education for families, carers, and support workers
  • Ongoing monitoring and adjustment of behaviour support strategies
  • Reports and evidence for NDIS planning and plan reassessments

Our approach is gentle, evidence-based, and built entirely around respect, dignity, and empowerment.

03

Respectful, personalised, positive support.

At Unify, we don’t believe in “managing” people’s behaviour. We focus on understanding it and helping participants thrive in their own way.

Our behaviour support services are flexible and personalised, delivered through:

  • Home visits
  • Clinic-based sessions
  • Community settings
  • Telehealth (where appropriate)

We also work collaboratively with families, schools, allied health teams, and support workers so everyone is on the same page.

Real stories

Support that shows.

They sent someone who gets my son.

Honestly, I was exhausted trying to find the right supports through the NDIS. But Unify changed everything. Our OT is not just ticking boxes. She's part of our team.

Feels like I've got a whole team behind me now.

I used to have to chase every single therapist, and no one spoke to each other. But with Unify it’s all just... connected. My OT, speechy and behaviour support worker all work together and actually talk to me like a person.
